Daerwood Park- Selkirk’s Ambitious Riverside Cottage Community

Their vision focused on developing the northern half of Sugar Point into an exclusive summer cottage community. However, the site experienced recurring natural challenges in the form of floodwaters.

Electro-Knit was a 2.5-million-dollar facility constructed to manufacture and finish knit fabrics for the apparel industry. This textile mill was the first in Western Canada. The mill employed hundreds of people from Selkirk.
