Shiffman’s General Store, located at 238 Manitoba Avenue, was opened by Ben and Annie Shiffman after fleeing widespread pogroms in Russia. Operating for decades as a vital community hub, the family-run business provided essential dry goods, groceries, and friendly service to generations of Selkirk residents.
