SchoolsBy Mackenzie StewartSeptember 5, 2025

Discover the history of Southward School, built on Main Street in 1907, where classrooms were famously heated by potbelly stoves. Explore its 1950 transformation into Daerwood School—named after Lord Selkirk’s elder brother, Lord Daer—and its generations of dedication to local education.
